Export my data

ExtMoney allows you to download a copy of your personal data at any time — it's your right under GDPR (Articles 15 'access' and 20 'portability'). The feature is free on any plan.

Where to find it

• Web: Settings → Your data section → Export my data button → the extmoney-export-YYYY-MM-DD.json file will download to your browser.
• Mobile app: Security → Your data section → Export my data → the standard system Share window will open, through which you can save or send the file (to cloud storage, to yourself via messenger, to email, etc.).

Clicking a single button generates the file immediately — no need to wait or refresh the page.

What's included in the file

Only your own data:

• Profile: email, name, display name, phone, language, time zone, base currency, registration date, your interface and notification settings, your consents (for voice input, receipt recognition, etc.).
• For each workspace (team/family) you belong to: workspace name, your role, and records created specifically by you — transactions, scheduled plans, and goals. Transactions include: type (income/expense/transfer/debt), amount and currency, date, description, categories, account.

Names of shared accounts and categories are substituted with words (not internal codes) so your transactions are easily readable.

What's NOT in the file

• Data of other members of your team (their transactions, profiles, consents) — by law, we do not have the right to disclose it to you. There is also no list of members.
• Shared team settings and the entire shared transaction log as a separate set — this is workspace data, not personally yours.
• Technical service fields and internal calculations.
• Attachments (photos of receipts and documents) — this is part of a separate paid backup feature, not this free export.

This is not a full team backup. A complete backup with all attachments is a separate (paid) feature in the 'Your data' → 'Backup' section.

Organization workspaces

If a workspace belongs to an organization (business/corporate plan), the organization itself may act as the data controller. In this case, your request for such a workspace is forwarded to the organization, and the file for it will contain a note instead of exporting records. Personal/family workspaces are exported directly.

Format

The file is in JSON (UTF-8) format — it is machine-readable and suitable for transferring to another service. Dates are in the international ISO 8601 format, with the currency indicated next to each amount.
