Attachments for Transactions

Este artículo aún no está en tu idioma, así que lo estás leyendo en otro.

In simple terms: how to attach a receipt or document to a transaction, view it, and delete it. Available in both the web version and the mobile app.

What You Can Attach

  • Formats: PDF, JPG, PNG (photo of a receipt, scanned bill, invoice in PDF).
  • Size: up to 3 MB per file.
  • Quantity: up to 10 attachments per transaction.

Files are private: they are not stored under a public link, but are provided only to you – after verifying your login and team membership.

Web Version

Open a transaction (card on the right). In the "Attachments" section:

  • Add — select a file (PDF/JPG/PNG). Uploading is immediate.
  • View — clicking an image opens a preview, clicking a PDF opens the file.
  • Download — download link next to the file.
  • Delete — the cross icon on the attachment.

Mobile App

Immediately after setup, above the circular "+" button at the bottom of the screen, a tip will appear once: "Create your first transaction." It will disappear as soon as you press the button or tap the tip itself, and will not return.

Attachments are located on the transaction editing screen (open the transaction from the list). The "Attachments" section is below the fields:

  • Add — "Add" button → choose source:
    • Camera — take a photo of the receipt;
    • Gallery — select a ready photo;
    • File (PDF) — select PDF/image from files.
  • View — tap on the thumbnail: the image opens in the built-in viewer with zoom, PDF — in the phone's system viewer.
  • Delete — cross icon in the corner of the thumbnail (will ask for confirmation).

The "N/10" counter shows how many attachments have already been added; at the limit, the "Add" button is hidden.

Why Attachments Are on Editing, Not Creation, in Mobile

When you create a new transaction, it doesn't have an ID yet to which files can be "attached." Therefore, a quick scenario works during creation: you photograph the receipt, AI recognizes it and fills in the amount, and the store name and address, shopping list, and taxes into the comment. The photo itself is not saved by default: to keep it as an attachment, enable the "Save receipt as attachment" toggle below the comment. And to add multiple files, a PDF document, or delete an attachment — open the already saved transaction for editing.

Possible Messages

  • "File is larger than 3 MB" — reduce the file size (for photos, retaking or choosing a lower resolution helps).
  • "Failed to add attachment" — format not supported (PDF/JPG/PNG required) or the limit of 10 files reached.
  • "Failed to open file" — no app to view PDF on your phone (install any PDF viewer).
  • "No connection..." — transaction is offline; try again when you have internet.
